Monday December 1, 2008 is World AIDS Day, Canticle Ministries invites you to attend their community prayer service at the Wheaton Franciscan Chapel at 7pm. World Vision Experience AIDS from September 6-14 to be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Glen Ellyn. "Step into Africa " an interactive exhibit, free, open to the public and volunteer opportunities. Click here to download flyer.

Prayer Vigil at the Lake for AIDS - on September 12, at 6:30pm to be held at Lake Ellyn 645 Lenox Road in Glen Ellyn. Community-wide prayer with worship & ecumenical prayers led by community church leaders and candle lit prayer walk. Spring 2008

Canticle Ministries will be having their annual Plant Sale on Friday May 16th from 11:00a.m.-6:00p.m. and on Saturday May 17th from 8:00a.m.-2:00p.m. @ the Promenade Courtyard of the Wheaton Franciscan Campus. Friday May 2nd, is World AIDS Orphans Day. Nearly 25 million children worldwide have lost one or both parents to AIDS – equivalent to the number of people living in New York, Paris, Rome and Bangkok combined. In sub-Saharan Africa alone, over 12 million children have been orphaned by the pandemic. Experts believe that millions more orphans remain unaccounted for in India, China and Russia. By 2010, the number of AIDS orphans worldwide is expected to by tens of million children. Peace Day 2008, will be observed on Saturday May 3, 2008. Twenty-fifth Anniversary of US Bishops' Pastoral Letter.
