S. Glenna Czachor, OSF.

Sr. Glenna M. Czachor, OSF, is a Wheaton Franciscan, who
currently serves as the Director of the Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation Office (JPIC).  The Office directs the outreach and advocacy efforts of the community, and advances efforts both local and global.  The JPIC Office collaborates with Tau Center, the spirituality ministry center sponsored by the Wheaton Franciscan community, which offers programs on topics of social interest such as care of creation, advocacy for the poor, and many other areas of justice and peace related to Catholic Social Teaching.

Sr. Glenna earned a Masters of Pastoral Studies from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, and has more than 25 years of experience planning liturgies and prayer, and offering presentations and retreats for faith groups and parishes. Parish ministry offered her the opportunity to lead parish efforts toward fair trade purchasing, social outreach to local homeless shelters, and ecumenical peace prayer services.  As a coordinator resident services for Franciscan Ministries, provider of low-income housing sponsored by the Wheaton Franciscans, Sr. Glenna oversaw the development of programming and funding for supportiveservices to low-income seniors, families and persons with special needs.

Sandra Joireman, Ph.D.

Sandra Fullerton Joireman is an Associate Professor of Politics and International Relations at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. She received her B.A. in Anthropology and Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis, graduating summa cum laude. Joireman received her M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles. She specializes in comparative political economy with an emphasis on Africa. Joireman has been a visiting research scholar at the University of Addis Ababa, Institute for Development Research and Queen Elizabeth House International Development Centre at Oxford University. She is the author of two monographs Institutional Change in the Horn of Africa: The Allocation of Property Rights and Implications for Development (1997), Property Rights & Political Development in Ethiopia & Eritrea (2000). She has written numerous articles on property rights, legal development and ethnic conflict. She serves on the board of directors for Upendo Village, a faith-based AIDS center for women and children in Naivasha, Kenya and for the Ten Thousand Villages Store in Glen Ellyn, IL.
